The New Teeth in One Day Process
How New Teeth in One Day Works
Mabel, a patient, was struggling with her teeth when a friend recommended Grillo Dental. Her first appointment with Dr. Grillo included a comprehensive examination, intraoral photos, digital X-rays and a conversation about her dental history, overall health and treatment goals.
Dr. Grillo answered all her questions and recommended full-arch implant-supported teeth replacement with New Teeth in One Day.
Here are the steps to getting a beautiful, permanent new smile at Grillo Dental:
- Long, angled dental implants increase bone-to-implant contact, minimizing or eliminating the need for bone grafting.
- The implants are placed in the areas of densest and highest bone volume for maximum support.
- The new teeth are made out of zirconia, a very strong and lifelike ceramic.
First Step: In-Depth Consultation
After completing a comprehensive oral exam, digital X-rays and a 3D CT X-ray, Dr. Grillo will recommended a course of treatment to restore that patient’s smile, improve their oral health and renew their confidence.
Dr. Grillo tailors treatment plans to meet each patient’s needs and uses state-of-the-art technology to achieve the desired results.
Second Step: Digital Planning for Optimum Results
Careful planning is essential to the success of the New Teeth in a Day procedure. “We tailor the treatment to the patient,” Dr. Grillo says. “Once we know where the teeth should be, we can determine the appropriate position for the implants. When we do it this way, the patient will be able to maintain them better, keep them longer and have better functionality and aesthetics.”
Dr. Grillo uses his cone beam CT scanner to capture detailed 3D X-rays of the patient’s teeth, bone and surrounding structures. These images allow him to identify areas with adequate bone density to support dental implants. He then uses implant planning software to prepare for the procedure.
Once the planning steps are complete, the actual New Teeth in a Day procedure can usually be performed in a single visit, including placement of functional temporary teeth.
Step Three: Minimally Invasive Implant Surgery
On the day of the surgery, Dr. Grillo makes sure the patient is comfortable, gently extracts any remaining teeth and places the implants. Most patients are eligible to have provisional teeth attached immediately.
Patients leave the office with teeth that look and feel great. They can eat, talk and care for their teeth as usual. Beautiful permanent teeth are placed after about three months, when the implant sites have completely healed.
Step Four: Beautiful New Permanent Teeth
After receiving the New Teeth in a Day treatment, patients are free to enjoy life with stable teeth that don’t shift or move.
