Porcelain Crowns

CEREC is a state-of-the-art computer-assisted design and manufacturing system for modern dentistry. With the 3D CEREC system, the doctors create high-quality, custom dental crowns right in their office. Patients get a strong, aesthetic permanent crown the same day—no need for temporaries!

The doctors make crowns from durable and natural-looking e.max® material and carefully match the shade of the patient’s surrounding teeth so that the new crowns blend in with the rest of the smile.

They start by taking detailed impressions of the patient’s teeth with the Primescan digital scanner, eliminating the need for traditional impressions that use gooey, unpleasant impression material to form a mold. The digital images are sent to the CEREC computer, which is used to digitally design the patient’s new crown. The custom design goes to the in-office milling unit, and the crown is fabricated right then and there.
